DYA Study Day: Evangelising with Aquinas

DYA Study Day: Evangelising with Aquinas

About the day

What is evangelisation, and what has it got to do with my life – and how can Dominicans help me to do it? Join the Dominican sisters for a day exploring how St Thomas Aquinas’ teachings on faith and the sacraments can help us to live out our call to spread the Gospel today. The day will include time for prayer, fellowship, questions and discussion.

Speakers

Sr Carino Hodder OP and Sr Lucy Cahill OP are Dominican Sisters of St Joseph based in the New Forest, Hampshire. They both assist their community with their apostolate of adult faith formation, with a particular focus on the training and formation of catechists. Previously they served as parish sisters at the Rosary Shrine, the Dominican parish in London. Sr Lucy is the Vocations Promoter for the community and also the illustrator of the biblical prayer journal Your Word is a Light to my Path. Sr Carino writes for Christian publications such as The Lamp, Where Peter Is and Plough Quarterly, and is the author of The Dignity of Women in the Modern World.
