Br Tommaso Pio Maria was born in Valladolid, Spain. He converted to the Catholic faith through a Jesuit priest, Fr Jorge Loring. After a while, he discovered the philosophy and theology of St Thomas Aquinas during his undergraduate studies in Philosophy, and began to discern a vocation to the Order of Preachers. He met the Dominicans in the Priory of Bologna, in Italy, where St Dominic is buried. He recently professed solemn vows in the Province of St Dominic (northern Italy), entrusting his vocation to St Thomas, St Pius V, and Our Lady of the Holy Rosary.
